Our in house blood machines, located in every branch, allows us to assess your pet’s liver and kidney function, blood glucose, proteins and electrolytes within minutes.
Blood samples are frequently needed for diagnostic purposes when your pet is unwell but blood samples are routinely used as part of our preventative scheme, so that disease processes can be detected as early as possible.
We also run diagnostic tests on urine samples and the microscope is used to look for possible crystals and other abnormalities. The microscope is also used to investigate skin scrapes and hair samples to help in the treatment of skin disease.
When more specialised tests are needed we send them directly to a veterinary pathology laboratory with results returned rapidly by fax or e-mail.
